the Reason Im a Portrait Photographer
A Scream was heard in the Hallways of the O.R.Core. It was not a scream of joy, but one of utter loss, tragedy and dispare. Let me explain what a core of a OR setting is and how it relates to what we do at Pimentel Portfolio LLC.
A core is most simply the innermost workings of a operation setting. This is where the brains, tech, supplies, pharmacy, of all the Operating room are located. When you have an operation and are wheeled into your room. The core is where all the performers of the operating stage arrive from with their supply, knowledge, tools and assistance. Its a cosmosphere of what gets you from point A to B in your journey of wellness.
It was in this core that (Tonya) as we will call her works. And it was Tonya who had emmited this scream. As she had just been told of a family tragedy, a loss. These sudden losses remind all of us how fast life goes by and the need to have remembrances of our loved ones.
And, it was in one such Hospital that I have Worked Professionally for the last 26 years as a Critical Care RRT Respiratory Therapist. Taking care of people of all ages all those year, I learned from patients the grace of life, death and disease. All the while on my days off Being a Portrait Photographer. Traveling to conferences honing my craft, re-igniting my love for the art, and learning the Business of it. I Set up an LLC for my business, and increased my investment in the business. All of it a race to create a means to continue my dream. My dream to create a inclusive Portrait Business that would reflect my love for the Portrait combined with a need for people of all kinds to be represented in an image.
And it was Tonya who a year later Inspired me, revived me to create and do what we do. Now it was not just Tonya who took me on this journey. of what I do at Pimentel Portfolio LLC. But it was also Cindy the beautiful African american coworker who told me of her journey out of an abusive relationship with a husband who insulted her pride and her bone structure. telling her attricuous words like ‘“ Look at those big hands and feet! are you a man or a woman!”
And out of this Rubble of insults out of this Hideous story of loss they both inspired me to create strong beautiful human images of them.
There was Kyle the handsome young man, so shy that in his Millennials years he had not yet formed his social circle. He too, inspired me to capture a portrait of him that blowup his media game. And then, there was Kalvin the self made Political Constituant who saw my work locally and reached out to me to provide him with one of my impactful business portraits sessions.
All of my clients have allowed me to create their vision their strength portraits. I believe that Everyone deserves a beautiful Portrait of themselves. I know that you have a story to tell about yourself.
I am a portrait photographer. I specialize in creating legacy, vanity fair type of portrait. And I believe in Inclusitivity. You should never feel marginalized by the lack of Professional Media Portraits or Family Portraits because you are LGBTQ, or because of your beliefs or the shade of your skin.
Whats your story and how do you want it told?
I can help you on that Journey to find the Vision. I can create for you a Portrait that is more then a Picture of you. I can capture Who you are and how you deserve to be seen.
